Mike and I have been fortunate to see some of our beautiful country, by horseback on our own horses. I have taken several photo's of our different trips and I'd like to share them with you! If you have any questions about any of the areas we've visited, give us a call or send an email. We'll do our best to answer them.

TRAIL SCENES

Knott Co., KY, Nov. 1, 2009 WoW! Beautiful, you can ride for hours and not get lost. Knott County is the Elk Capital Of The East.

The trail dead ended on a point so we had to turn around and go back.. It was great while it lasted.

Our camp in Cascade Lake Campground Brevard, NC Oct 7-11, 2009. We didn't get to keep our horses here. They stayed at Shoals Creek Farm. Mr.& Mrs. Hubbard are just super nice and friendly people. We rode in the DuPont State Forest.

On the trail, Mike and the Lewis's. Pearl, Clay, Brock and Mark. They invited us to join them on this wonderful trip.

This is the top of Bridal Veil Falls. Unless I have my falls mixed up.. Heck we saw four different falls on this trip!

I'm standing behind the waterfall!! Since I'm so short, I could actually stand up! I had to bend over to get in, but then could stand. Awesome!!

Back on the trail. The trails were very well maintained and marked. We were in the Dupont State Forest.

Mike spotted this nice fella, a Black Racer, I believe. After that we kind of kept an eye out above us.. :) We also saw one on the ground, but, it didn't seem to bother our horses any. We were all gathered around checking it out.

We were in our truck for this picture. On Sat. it rained off and on, so we didn't do any riding, but that was ok, we were able to do some site seeing. This is on the Blueridge Parkway.. Just gorgous. I know I've used the words beautiful, gorgous, fantastic, a lot. But view after view, whether on horseback or in the truck, just stunning! Thanks Mark, Pearl, Brock and Clay for inviting us on such a great trip!!

These eight pics. were taken at Green River Lake in June 2009. Gentleman's Wicked Lady is a wonderfully smooth ride!!

The next three pics. are of some of the wiildlife we saw on this beautiful day in June. This little guy wasn't a bit scared of us..

1 thru #15 were taken on the Cascade Creek Trail, north of Durango, CO, toward Silverton. September, 2008.

You can see why it is called Cascade Creek Trail. Two waterfalls on the same trail. The falls were so loud on this one you had to shout to be heard, that's how close we were to it.

Tammy and Kayla. This photo and the next three were taken at Green River Lake in Campbellsville, KY. They have 25 miles of wonderful trails. Also overnight camping and stables for horses. Spring 2008

Mike, and our friends from Campbellsville, Jerry and Matt Rodgers and our friend, Jerry Garvin, from Pindale, WY, at Green River Lake in WY. August 2005.

Wow!! What a rock slide! Lady, my mare, was thinking are you crazy!! She stopped about half way across, and said no way! I'm not going any further, but finally she decided since she couldn't turn around then she'd better keep going! We were up around 12,000 feet here! What an experience!!

After crossing the rock slide we had to admire the view, looking down on the lake and meadow where we had stopped for a break earlier.

Going down the mountain near Walden, CO, after being up over 12,000 feet, going into Hidden Valley. I didn't find any Ranch Dressing. See the storm clouds in the distance? Yep, we were caught in the storm!! Thunder and lightening, the whole works! The lightening wasn't a very good experience, but the thunder vibrating thru the mountains was awesome!! We had our slickers, so we stayed nice and dry.
